Where is my trading data stored and who has access to it?

All your data — the journal, backtests, reports, diary notes, broker keys — is stored in a database file on your computer. No one but you has access to it. This is a fundamental difference between MaxProfit and cloud services.

Is there a refund after purchasing a license?

No. Under international law digital goods are not refundable. To make sure the program is right for you, we provide a fully functional demo version: 15 days of unrestricted use and up to 50 trades in the journal. All core modules, indicators, broker import and the strategy tester are available for free — try it before buying.

Which brokers and platforms can I import trades from?

MaxProfit supports import from MetaTrader 4/5, cTrader, NinjaTrader, Interactive Brokers, Tiger Trade, the largest crypto exchanges (Binance, Bybit, OKX) and hundreds of brokers — over 800 sources in total. Import works both via real-time API connection and via reports in XLS and CSV formats.

Which markets and instruments are available for strategy testing?

The instrument library contains quotes for more than 55,000 instruments from exchanges around the world: stocks (US, EU, Asia), futures, crypto, forex pairs and bonds. You can upload your own quotes on the Lifetime plan.

Do I need trading experience to use the program?

No. The MaxProfit interface is designed so that both beginners and experienced traders can pick it up. The strategy tester is especially useful for newcomers — it lets you check trading ideas on historical data without risking real capital.

Can I use MaxProfit on several devices?

Yes. The Annual license allows you to use the program on two computers simultaneously; the Lifetime license — on three. Sync between devices runs through your own cloud (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) — your data still stays with you.

Which operating systems does the program run on?

Right now MaxProfit runs on Windows 10 and 11. macOS and Linux versions are in active development and will appear in upcoming releases.

All paid plans include full technical support. Response time depends on the plan: 24 hours on the quarterly plan, 8 hours on the annual plan, and 2 hours on Lifetime.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. You pay exactly the amount listed for the chosen license. No subscriptions for individual features, no surcharges for supported markets, no hidden fees for data storage — your data lives with you, so there is nothing to pay for.

Does the program require a constant internet connection?

No. A constant connection is required only for automatic trade fetching via API and for the initial license check on startup. All modules — journal, strategy tester, reports, diary — work fully offline.

What happens when the 1-year subscription expires?

When the annual license expires, the program won’t launch until you renew. Your local data is not lost — it stays in the database file on your computer. You can renew the license at any time and continue right where you left off.
