Before you import data from the NinjaTrader 8 platform, you need to create a trading account in MaxProfit with the same name as in NinjaTrader, and also maintain a balance on this account.

1. Creating a trading account

Start NinjaTrader 8 and open the "Accounts" panel. The "Display name" column will indicate your account name. Note the name.

Start MaxProfit and open Trading account directory by selecting Menu -- > Directories --> Accounts

Click the  button and fill in the form as follows:

Account name should be the same with one specified in the NinjaTrader platform

In the "Currency" field select your account currency.

In the "Number" field you can specify any number. Click the "Save and close" button.

2. Enter account balances.

Open Journal of documents (Menu-->Documents-->Journal of documents)

Create a new document "Deposit +/-"  

The date for entering balances must be less than the date of the very first transaction on the account. Click the "Save and close" button.

After saving the document, you will see your first entry in your log.

3. Data import

In the "Journal of documents" open the "Data import" panel with the button 

In the "Data import" panel in the "Data format" field, select the value "NinjaTrader 8 history". Click on "Start import"

Now you can proceed to the online data import.
